Building Committee Meeting July 29, 2024

The Building Committee held a meeting on July 29, 2024. The committee discussed the comments received from the members attending the July 22nd All-Member Meeting when the preliminary plans were shown.

The major concern expressed was the desire to have a dedicated adult bar/fine dining area which would be exclusive to members even if the banquet area is rented for an event.  The architect was asked to flip the upstairs bar to the east end, adjacent to the elevator lobby, and provide this space.

There was a concern by a committee member that the monumental stair servicing the upper floor as an exterior fire exit might limit the view of the Bay for members dining on the lower level.  The architect was asked to design a plan option whereby the stairs would be located on the west end of the building.
