In the early morning hours of November 12, 2023, a massive fire destroyed the 90-year-old clubhouse at St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club. At first light, news of the fire spread and members and concerned neighbors gathered in the club parking lot and watched in disbelief as the raging fire consumed the historic building. Firefighters battled to keep the disaster contained. Fortunately, strong winds blew dangerous sparks and embers towards the bay and none of the surrounding homes were affected. To our great fortune, the Sailing Center building, club docks and club boats were spared. Within two weeks, the Club was back up and running, using the Sailing Center building as the temporary clubhouse. Members and the community have rallied in support of the Club and we are committed to rebuilding a beautiful new clubhouse that will be treasured for generations to come.
